About Us

Petro Sarakhs Iranian Co. was established on May 24, 2018, with the aim of producing phosphoric acid and phosphate fertilizers (TSP) in the Sarakhs Special Economic Zone, on a land area of 75,000 square meters. With the implementation of this project, which has an annual production capacity of one million tons, the company has become one of the largest producers of phosphoric acid and phosphate fertilizers in Iran.

Phosphoric acid is widely used in various industries, including agriculture, and in many products that we use in our daily lives. Given that Iran’s agricultural lands are not rich in phosphate resources, and considering the application of phosphoric acid in producing key products such as TSP fertilizer, along with the shortage of its production and the current need for imports, the necessity of producing it becomes evident.

Unfortunately, the technical knowledge related to phosphoric acid production is specific to a few foreign companies, and many technical aspects are provided to domestic production plants on a limited basis and not based on the latest global technologies. Additionally, the old units for producing phosphoric acid and its by-products inside the country have become heavily worn out, resulting in slow production and high costs.

Our scientific and executive team, utilizing existing scientific capacities and the experience of its specialists, has designed and implemented a unique roadmap for the local production of certain equipment and processes tailored to Iran’s dry climate, with minimal costs and maximum efficiency.

This industrial unit comprises the following sections:

  • Phosphate rock grinding and slurry preparation
  • Reaction reactors (acid production)
  • Filtration
  • Phosphoric acid concentration system
  • Storage

Petro Sarakhs Iranian Co. also includes other sections such as a laboratory, equipment storage warehouses, chemical and product storage, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) affairs, and an administrative building.

Industrial site with large storage tanks in a dry, arid plain, under a partly cloudy sky with minimal vegetation in sight.
